Zoom app marketplace permissions Zoom App Marketplace lists all publicly available apps which can be installed by individual users or accounts User-managed or Account-level apps. Zoom users can discover new apps through the Marketplace discovery page or search directly for specific apps. User-level apps can be installed by any individual markegplace on a Zoom account. Account-level apps can be controlled by a Zoom account admin user with Marketplace role access. This role grants admins the ability to control which apps can be installed on the account and by individual users on the account.

To set these permissions, navigate to Permissions in the My Admin Zoom app marketplace permissions. This page allows admins to pre-approve the installation of apps, apply restrictions, or prevent users on an account from installing apps.

Admins can manage pre-approval requests made by users by navigating to App Requests in the My Admin Dashboard. Admins with Marketplace:Edit permissions can pre-approve or reject the requests. Admins can also view which users made requests through the Requests dropdown.

To implement this control, an admin must follow the steps listed below:. Apps which have been created by Zoom permissionns by members of the admins account can be excluded from requiring pre-approval. This can be set for both publicly available and development-stage apps. Apps which are not publicly available on the Marketplace can also be set to require pre-approval. Note: If pre-approval is required, users will not be able to install development apps for testing. These apps will show a Request to Install button available for users to send app installation requests to admins. Admins can view the app installation requests in the My Admin Dashboard and navigating to Request to Install.

Here markeptlace can either install the app or reject the request.   Once a user authorizes the app with the requested scopes, the app requests Zoom for the user's access token. The following are the available Contacts scopes and their associated API calls:.

All apps listed on the App Marketplace are public OAuth apps added by individual users or admins. When published, Zoom users and admins can add your app onto their accounts right from the directory of the Marketplace. Once published, your app receives a public landing page on the App Marketplace with descriptions, screenshots, and videos of your app in use. A Private app is an application created by and exclusively for an individual developer account.

These apps will not be displayed publicly on the App marketplace, and cannot be advertised in any public document or site. If your app requires additional time for beta testing, you can request to share your app outside of your account. This will be approved and monitored by the Marketplace team. When added and authorized, Marketplace apps are granted permission to make requests to the Zoom API on behalf of the user for the scopes they have requested.

Added apps do not have access to information for scopes they have not requested. Once the user authorizes, your app could make requests to the Meetings and Recordings APIs on their behalf; however, it would not have access to make requests to the Webinars API.

Reference the Permissions documentation for more information. User-added apps can be added on the Marketplace by any user. An example of a user-added app could be a scheduler which allows a user to create meetings on an outside platform.

Admin-added apps can only be added by users who have account-level permissions. An example of an admin-added app could be an app that analyzes meeting participation reports or helps manage all webinars on an account. Your app is unlikely to require Sub-Account permissions unless it is intended to be used by API Partners , and may be denied if they are not required.

This scope allows a chatbot to interact with users by sending messages to users, editing the sent messages, and deleting the sent messages. The following are the available Contacts scopes and their associated API calls:.
